Mudeford, Stanpit, Avon Beach, Friars Cliff and Steamer Point all form areas along the estuary, harbour, The Run and the beaches around Christchurch Bay. The town and Steamer Point are no more than 2 miles apart and beyond that is the village of Highcliffe, visit www.highcliffedorset.co.uk for more information. All the above make up the Borough of Christchurch.

Mudeford Quay with its old buildings, lobster pots, cafe, pub and fresh fish stall draw visitors in large numbers throughout the year. From here a ferry crosses the Run to Hengistbury Head and sea fishing trips and other local water trips/activities can be found.

Our beaches are clean and the water is as good as any. There is safe swimming from the beaches with RNLI life guards on duty during the school summer holidays. You will find a full range of facilities for your day on the beach, beach huts, deck chairs, wind breaks, kyacs to mention but a few features.
